We know you are a seasoned traveler but just wanted to give you some tips we have picked up from our scouting trips to help you plan
It is definitely best to fly into Los Cabos (SJD) airport directly from the United States. Not that you can’t fly through Mexico City but just know that it is a challenging airport to navigate. So make your connection out of a United States based hub airport.
On the way down to Cabo your checked bags will be routed to Cabo like a normal domestic flight. On the return flight you will need to claim your bags, go through customs and re-check your bags in the US. Make sure to give yourself extra time during your return layover.
When you arrive in Cabo you will first go through customs, then you will claim your bags at the baggage claim, and then proceed through declarations. Keep your Passport and declarations paperwork handy.
We have found it best to hire a car service to pick you up for your trips from and to the airport. When pass out of declarations you will go through an interior mezzanine and people trying to ”help” these are vendors trying to sell a service so just politely keep on walking out the door. Car Services will meet you at Canopy 4 and 5
The drive to the hotel will take approximately 25-30 minutes. The infrastructure is definitely different from the US, so slow traffic is common and the use of traffic flow is unique at times, Honestly just enjoy the ride.

The Magic Door can be used as a connecting door, so that you and your children can enjoy a care-free stay. This feature is subject to availability and it has to be requested during the check-in process at the front desk. In-room connecting doors are not available at this property.
